The permanent magnet used in radiological diagnostics is, at present, the most compact device in its class. At the heart of the designing process was the challenge to create a pleasant, humane design. The possibility of “sliding” the patient into the device sideways underscores the patient-friendly quality of the system. The expansive C-form with a panorama angular aperture of 270° and the large space between the upper and lower part of the magnets, give patients a feeling of openness, reducing the fear of being closed in. Form and color scheme combine to create a comfortable impression. The Magnetom C! is part of a very successful family of products (market leader) that was developed by designaffairs in close cooperation with Siemens AG Healthcare.
