Portland, Oregon, will be the location for the first US studio to be opened by designaffairs, a strategic design consultancy based in Germany and China. The studio will open its doors on May 1st, 2018.
The international consultancy has chosen to enter the US market at a time of great change and transformation in numerous industries, both domestically and worldwide.
Nico Michler, Co-Founder of designaffairs, explains the decision: “For 20 years, designaffairs has brought hardware, software and service solutions to market. Our clients around the world need joined up thinking and doing. A global network across North America, Europe and Asia will help enable that.”
Situated on NW Northrup Street, where the Pearl district meets downtown, designaffairs Portland will consult for clients in industries such as mobility and transportation, home and building automation, medical and healthcare, consumer products and retail.

designaffairs Portland will be run by Bianca Fleischer, Vice-President and Studio Director. Bianca has been living and working in the US design industry for more than 12 years.
